Dr. Finely s Views On Educational Globalization - 1495 Words

On September 5, 2015, an interview was conducted with Dr. David Finely. Dr. Finely is the International Education Director of all academic courses and academic staff in the 15 different international programs in local public schools for AMESON Education and Culture Exchange Foundation based in Nanjing, China. The purpose of the interview was to discuss Dr. Finely s professional views on educational globalization and the changes taking place in classrooms around the world. In this paper, Dr. Finely’s responses related to globalization will be analyzed to ascertain if he regards the phenomenon of educational globalization as a positive or negative development. Dr. Finely touched on various topics such as mobility, cultural awareness, adequate cultural preparation for high school students in China before arriving abroad to study, technological modernization and the future opportunities that will present themselves through educational globalization. Access and Mobility Dr. David Finely has worked abroad for many years. He has acquired a lot of important insight into what education can become through the globalization process. During the interview, Dr. Finely expressed the importance access and how the global system has now made international education more possible than ever. The educator emphasized the need of being able to be anywhere one needed to be without the obstacles of the past.
